A neon sign flickers and glows
I feel the exit must be very close
I came before another door
The neon sign above says more

And underneath that golden light
I walk into a room so bright,
The noise and stench within that lair
It fills my lungs with noxious air

And written on each gaudy wall
The letters standing ten feet tall

Looking
all
cadaverous
Money
Want
Avarice

Everywhere that I can see
There sits a thing like you or me
But as I neared those silent shapes
Covered in their dusty drapes
Each one of them is fused to the seat
With cables wrapped about their feet
And each of these silent beings
Connects to the nearest slot machine

Now all is dark inside this place
Something’s crawling on my face
Then from each creatures throat
There sounds a wailing tortured note

All about the bloody floor
Wormlike beasts feeding on their gore

All at once each slot spins ‘round
And jackpot spills coins to the ground
And dripping tongues lick bone-dry lips
As each creature bends to take their chips
And as each creature’s arm expands
I see that none possess a hand
And suddenly I feel a chill
And in that room all is still

I scream and run towards the door
I trip and fall through the floor
Falling through eternity
